We're Orlaith and Lucy, and if you'd told us a few years ago that we'd be building something like Femily together, we probably would have laughed. But here we are - and honestly, it feels like the most natural thing in the world.
Let us tell you how we got here.
How we met
Our story started on the Irish 7s rugby pitch. Orlaith was coaching. Lucy was playing. And somewhere between training sessions, tactical meetings, and the kind of conversations that only happen when you're surrounded by women pushing themselves to the limit, we realised we shared the same obsession: high performance, team culture, and that electric feeling of becoming your absolute best.
We also noticed something else. We saw firsthand how powerful it is when women belong to something bigger - when they're surrounded by teammates who push them forward while making the whole journey more fun.
That feeling stuck with us. And eventually, it became Femily.

Who we are
Orlaith is a Strength & Conditioning coach with over 10 years of experience in high performance sport from hockey, GAA, rugby and some individual sports, working mainly with female athletes. She's fascinated by how our bodies work—finding our limits, pushing boundaries, and discovering the right methods to suit each individual. She believes strength takes many forms: physical, mental, and collective. And she's obsessed with the "why" behind everything we do.
Lucy has been immersed in sport for as long as she can remember. What started as a way to make friends and feel part of a team led her to GAA, then rugby, and eventually ten years playing professionally. She studied physiology at university, recently completed a personal training diploma, and right now her body is doing something pretty incredible—growing a human. Through it all, she's learned that performance means different things to different people at different points in life. Especially for women.
Together, we bring the coaching and the playing experience. The science and the lived reality. The structure and the fun.

Why Femily exists
Here's what we know to be true: women train better when they're not doing it alone.
We've seen it on the pitch. We've felt it ourselves. There's something about being part of a team—having people who get it, who push you, who celebrate with you—that changes everything.
But not everyone has access to that. Not everyone plays elite sport or has a squad around them. And yet every woman deserves that support, whether she's chasing a PB, navigating a new phase of life, or just trying to feel strong and capable in her own body.
That's the gap Femily exists to fill.
We're building a community for women who love pushing limits, discovering what their bodies can do, and doing it all alongside people who get it. A place where you can learn to perform at your best—whatever that looks like for you—with expert guidance, science-backed content, and a team cheering you on.
Your hype squad. Your support system. Your Femily.
